Heidelberg Meatloaf

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 lbs. lean ground beef
  • 1 cup beer or bouillon
  • 1/4 cup Onion; chopped
  • 1 tsp caraway seed
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 3 slices rye bread; torn up
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp celery seed

    Cooking:

    1. Heat the oven to 350° F.
    2. Mix all of the ingredients together.
    3. Spread the mixture into an ungreased loaf pan, 9 x 5 x 3".
    4. Bake uncovered for 1 - 1 1/4 hours.
    5. Drain off the excess fat and let stand for 5 to 10 minutes before slicing.
    6. Serve on a heated platter.

    Servings: 6
